The Desert Rose Sheer Fringe Skirt was handmade using the front panels of a previously loved kimono, transforming them into a completely new one-of-a-kind piece. The dusty pink sheer fabric gives it a soft, slightly romantic feel, while the long matching fringe along the bottom brings all the movement and drama.
A contrasting striped fabric tie at the waist adds that perfectly mismatched, reconstructed detail that makes it unmistakably Modern Alien.

Because the fabric is sheer, this skirt is made for layering. Throw it over biker shorts, a bodysuit, bikini bottoms, another skirt, jeans—or whatever weird little outfit your heart comes up with.
HOW TO STYLE IT
Go full desert alien with cowboy boots, a vintage tee or tiny tank, silver jewelry and a big western belt. For festival season, layer it over a bodysuit with boots and let that fringe do its thing. Or wear it over jeans for a completely unnecessary extra layer—which obviously means you should.
