Meet Happy Daze, a one-of-a-kind mini dress handmade from a rescued smiley-face bedsheet because apparently sleeping on it wasn't interesting enough.

The white fabric is covered in cheerful yellow smiley faces and transformed into a simple strappy silhouette that lets the print do all the talking. It's colorful, playful, a little ridiculous, and exactly the kind of funky women's dress The Modern Alien exists to put into the world.

And yes—it really used to be a bedsheet.

Now it's a dress.

THE MUTATION

A rescued smiley-face bedsheet was cut, reconstructed, and sewn by hand into an entirely new dress.

Instead of sending existing fabric out of circulation, we gave it another life—and this one gets to leave the bedroom.
